The Cedar Creek Mine Ride, one of the several mine train rides created by Arrow in the 70's and 80's is one of those coasters that you would only want to ride if you were really tired or had nothing else to do. There isn't much positive that I can say about this coaster, except that it helps keep Cedar Point's coaster total at 15.
It is second slowest, only to the Jr. Gemini, in the park, and the ride it gives, though smooth, is really boring. As evidence, even after the lift, for almost twenty seconds the train simply coasts before beginning the first drop. It's pretty pathetic, but like I said, it keeps the coaster total up, so I can't complain. I guess it does offer a good relaxing ride and a good view of the river and the surrounding scenery in the Frontiertown area. Also, if you feel like spending a little amount of time just enjoying a relaxing ride other than the Cadillacs, ride this coaster. Maybe you'll find it different than my description, but being a die-hard coaster enthusiast, it's just to calm and slow for me!
