Mean Streak means a couple words for me- rough, fun, bumpy, etc.  That fun belongs in there somewhere, but it isn't exactly the smoothest coaster around.  Obviously, being a wooden coaster is a minus (I generally don't like wooden coasters) but the other aspects of the coaster are completely awesome.

Taking up a lot of space in one of the corners of Cedar Point, Mean Streak has an oblong curved triangle shape, which allows a lot of through-structure twisting a train movement.  The trains are orange, yellow, and bright green, a really cool color scheme that matches the dark brown track perfectly.  From the station after the classic loading process, the trains begin strong downward slope into the lift, a 180° twist that lasts only seconds.

Then from the lift, the train begins a long, extended drop into the first of the high-curves, one of the most bumpy parts of the ride.  The rest of the ride is too difficult to explain, there are so many twists and curves, but once I got stuck on the brake run for about twenty-five minutes, which was a little nerve-racking, but nevertheless, this ride is actually relatively comfortable with the type of coaster trains used (they're PTC trains, and thank God they're not Gerstlauer!).

I love this ride because it maintains its strength and speed all the way through the last set of brakes.  You know the routine- if you get to Cedar Point, this is one of my coaster-plusses, so experience a little streak for yourself, it rocks!
